Creating authentic furniture for more than six generations
Kittinger was founded in 1866 in Buffalo, New York, the year after the American Civil War ended. For many years, the company has been creating custom-order furniture for the White House and several other government buildings in Washington DC, from the Oval Office to the Cabinet Room, and the Roosevelt Room. In 2009, Kittinger was also commissioned to design and produce the chairs for President Obama’s inaugural ceremony. The company won the 2012 BEST: Made in America Award, an accolade honoring excellence in American manufacturing as part of the nation's Independence Day celebrations.
